Setting up my Market in the App seems to hang without completing.

If configuration doesn’t complete, and if the scope light is blinking green, retry the configuring via the app and confirm your WIFI network and password are correct.  

I can't see my Market when in the list of networks/devices.

  • Be sure your Market is powered on and in access mode. To power on, press the lower reset button on the back of the base. To Enter access mode, hold top button on back of your market down for 10 seconds until it flashes white, then release the button. Your Market should breathe blue indicating it is in access mode. 

  • Confirm your WIFI network is 2.4ghz or dual band 5ghz/2.4ghz. The Market does not work with 5ghz WIFI networks.

My Market appears to be stuck. It updates but then doesn't move. 

Try calibrating your Market. If your Market is in sleep mode, take it out of sleep mode by pressing the lower rest button on the back of the base. Go to the August & Wonder app on your device and go to the Status tab. Tap the Calibrate button. Your market should tilt all the way left, then all the way right before centering at 0. It will then tilt to reflect current index or cryptocurrrency selected.

How do I maximize battery life?

There are two things you can do to maximize battery life. The first is to enable Power Save mode. To enable power save mode, go to the August & Wonder app and tap to get to the Status Page. Tap the Power Saving button to toggle on/off. 

In Power Save mode, the Market will go into deep sleep mode between updates and whenever the markets are closed. In deep sleep mode the scope light will be turned off and the Market will not respond to the app. The Market will wake up at the Update Interval set in the app to update the latest market data and tilt accordingly before going back to sleep.

The second thing you can do to extend battery life is to increase the update interval. The longer the interval the longer the battery will last between charges.

How do I wake The Market up from sleep mode?

Just push the reset button on the back of the base. The reset button is the lower button.

The Value showing for the index on the app does not match the current market data from Yahoo/Google finance or other stock sites. 

The Market tracks the 11 market indices by tracking an ETF associated with that index (symbol shown in the parenthesis of the Index list). The app shows % change and value of the ETF. The value of the ETF will not match the value of the Index, but the % change will track very closely, though not exactly. This is commonly known as tracking error, but should be within tenths of a percent.
