As I had mentioned in previous updates we were driving hard to start shipping the first units at the end of August.

On the plus side of the ledger the Market production electronics have come in an tested out perfectly, so that's a big hurdle jumped!

We appeared to be on track through last week, but unfortunately hit a couple of last minute snags. 

The first was with the copper scale fits into the front of the sextant - it shows the precise percent change. There was a flaw in the first run that meant we had to re-run them. We have done that, but it has held us up a little bit as we get the replacements in. It's looking really good. 

The second and more significant snag was that our packaging supplier who informed us the cases we were expecting that day were suddenly not going to be ready for several more weeks. Not cool. We have now found a packaging supplier who will hopefully be more reliable. 

Here's what this all means means for shipping dates:

Our packaging supplier is expediting our first 20 cases which should be the week of the September 17th.  The first 20 Markets should start ship out that week. 

The balance of the units will then ship as soon as we receive the rest of the cases, which should be by end of September. 

While disappointing, these last minute snags seem to be par for the course when bringing a brand new object into the world. We are getting so very close.
